Wilmington Community Clinic Data Breach

December 15, 2025

NOTICE: If you received a NOTICE OF DATA BREACH letter from Wilmington Community Clinic, contact Emery | Reddy, PC at 916.995.5968 for a Free Case Review.

On August 13, 2024, Wilmington Community Clinic (“WCC”) discovered that its systems were potentially compromised by an unauthorized actor. WCC immediately disconnected all access to its network and engaged a specialized third-party cybersecurity firm to conduct a comprehensive forensic investigation. The investigation determined that personal information may have been acquired by an unauthorized actor.

Due to the complexity and volume of data involved, WCC conducted multiple phases of automated and manual review to identify affected individuals. On November 18, 2025, WCC finalized its notification list and began mailing letters to impacted individuals. While there is no evidence of misuse, WCC is notifying patients out of an abundance of caution and offering 12 months of complimentary credit monitoring and identity theft restoration services through HaystackID.

The Wilmington Community Clinic (WCC) in Wilmington, CA, is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) offering comprehensive, primary medical, dental, and mental health care for underserved adults, children, and seniors, regardless of insurance or income, focusing on services like pediatrics, women’s health, prenatal care, and chronic disease management, aiming to provide accessible care to the local community.

Following the breach, WCC implemented enhanced security measures and continues to monitor its systems.

If you received a Data Breach notification letter from WCC, it confirms that your information was potentially impacted.

What information is involved in the Wilmington Community Clinic Data Breach?

Compromised information may include:

Name

Date of Birth

Driver’s License Number or State ID

Health Insurance Identification Number

Medical Information

Your Personally Identifiable Information (PII) includes details that can be used to identify you. Organizations are legally obligated to safeguard this data, and failure to do so can result in statutory fines and other legal consequences. If your data has been exposed in a breach, one of the most effective steps you can take is to enroll in credit and identity monitoring services promptly.
