On May 30, 2025, Farmers Insurance Exchange (“Farmers”) was alerted by a third-party vendor to suspicious activity involving unauthorized access to a database containing Farmers customer information. The investigation revealed that on May 29, 2025, an unauthorized actor accessed and acquired certain data from the vendor’s system. Farmers immediately launched a comprehensive investigation, notified law enforcement, and engaged cybersecurity experts to assess the scope of the incident.

By July 24, 2025, the review confirmed that some personal information belonging to Farmers customers was subject to unauthorized access and acquisition. At this time, Farmers reports no evidence of misuse of the impacted data.

To help protect affected individuals, Farmers is offering 24 months of complimentary identity monitoring services through Cyberscout, including credit monitoring, credit reports, and identity theft resolution support.

Founded in 1928, Farmers Insurance Exchange and its affiliates, including Foremost® and Bristol West®, provide insurance products and services nationwide.

Following the breach, Farmers enhanced its security protocols and continues to monitor its systems.
