On or about May 1, 2026, KerberRose Wealth Management, LLC (“KerberRose”) became aware of suspicious activity involving an employee email account. According to the Notice of Data Breach, the company promptly took steps to isolate the affected environment and initiated an investigation with the assistance of a third-party forensic security firm.

Following the initial investigation, KerberRose confirmed that an unauthorized third party had gained access to the email account on April 29, 2026, which resulted in limited access to a portion of a backup platform used in its wealth management operations. Because of the need to determine the scope of access and identify affected individuals, the company conducted a detailed review before issuing notification letters.

After identifying the impacted systems and data, KerberRose worked to secure its environment and strengthen internal safeguards. The company reported that the incident was contained to a limited portion of its systems and did not impact other areas of its business, including CPA and tax services.

KerberRose Wealth Management, LLC provides financial planning, wealth management, and retirement plan services to individuals and organizations. The firm has over 13 locations across Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

KerberRose also stated that it has not identified any evidence that the affected personal information has been misused. However, the investigation confirmed that unauthorized access to certain data may have occurred.

Individuals whose information may have been involved began receiving written notification letters in May 2026. If you received a Notice of Data Breach from KerberRose Wealth Management, LLC, it confirms that your personal and financial information may have been impacted by this incident.

As part of its response, KerberRose is offering affected individuals complimentary credit monitoring and identity protection services through Cyberscout (a TransUnion company) for 24 months, provided individuals enroll within the specified timeframe.
