Deactivation Protections in Seattle

For three years, Seattle gig workers organized with a clear message: firing workers using an unfair algorithm, for no reason, and giving us no way to correct these deactivations? That had to stop.

This week the Seattle City Council listened to workers and PASSED CB 120580: the bill gig workers wrote to protect each other from unjust deactivations – giving us transparency, safeguards, and human review to resolve deactivations and get back to work.
