May 20, 2026

NOTICE: If you received a NOTICE OF DATA BREACH letter from Boston Capital, contact Emery | Reddy, PC at 916.995.5968 for a Free Case Review.

On or about February 12, 2026, Boston Capital Holdings LP (“Boston Capital”) became aware of a potential data security incident involving unauthorized access to certain files within its computer network. According to the Notice of Data Event, the company promptly initiated a review of the matter and engaged cybersecurity specialists to assess and secure its systems.

During the investigation, Boston Capital determined that a sophisticated cyber actor leveraged external cloud systems associated with legitimate companies in an attempt to bypass existing security controls and gain access to its network. The investigation revealed that certain files were accessed and copied between January 16 and January 22, 2026.

Following this discovery, Boston Capital undertook a comprehensive review of the affected files to determine their contents and identify the individuals whose information may have been involved. This process was necessary to ensure accurate notification and to provide appropriate support services. The review of files related to impacted individuals was completed on May 5, 2026.

After identifying the scope of the incident, Boston Capital implemented measures to enhance its cybersecurity posture, including evaluating additional technical safeguards and reviewing internal training and supervision practices to reduce the likelihood of similar incidents occurring in the future.

Boston Capital Holdings LP is a privately held real estate investment and financial services firm headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts. Founded in 1994, the company specializes in multifamily housing investments, real estate financing, and tax exempt  bond operations throughout the United States.

Boston Capital stated that it is not currently aware of confirmed instances of identity theft or fraud directly resulting from this incident. However, because unauthorized access and copying of files did occur, impacted individuals may face an increased risk of potential misuse of their information.

Individuals whose information may have been involved began receiving written notification letters starting in May 2026. If you received a Notice of Data Event from Boston Capital Holdings LP, it indicates that your personal information may have been impacted by this data security incident.

As part of its response, Boston Capital is offering impacted individuals complimentary identity monitoring services through Cyberscout (a TransUnion company) for a period of 12 months, along with access to fraud assistance and credit monitoring alerts, provided individuals enroll within the stated deadline.
