On December 11, 2024, UFCW discovered suspicious activity within its network. The organization immediately secured its systems and engaged cyber incident response professionals to investigate. The investigation determined that an unauthorized actor accessed certain data on December 10, 2024.

On August 21, 2025, after completing a comprehensive review, UFCW confirmed that certain personal information was involved. While there is no evidence of misuse or fraud, UFCW has implemented additional security measures and is offering 12 months of complimentary credit monitoring and identity protection services through Cyberscout, a TransUnion company.

UFCW Local 7 represents 23,000 members in Colorado and Wyoming in supermarkets, packing houses, food processing plants, cannabis facilities, barbers and cosmetologists, healthcare facilities, counselors, and distilleries.

Following the breach, UFCW strengthened its security protocols and continues to monitor its systems.
