Thousands of patients may have had their private medical records exposed in a recent cyberattack on Mt. Baker Imaging. If you were treated by Mt. Baker Imaging between 1988 and February 2024, your personal health information (PHI) may have been stolen in a data breach now at the center of a proposed class action lawsuit.
In February 2024, Mt. Baker Imaging (MBI) confirmed it was the target of a ransomware attack that compromised sensitive data, including Social Security numbers, addresses, and medical information. The breach, which remained undisclosed to patients for months, is now under legal scrutiny.
According to reports, the hackers accessed data belonging to approximately 244,000 patients. This includes anyone who received services from Mt. Baker Imaging over the past 35 years.
