On or about February 6, 2025, Commonwealth Business Bank (“CBB”) discovered suspicious activity affecting certain systems within its network. The company immediately secured its environment and engaged third-party cybersecurity specialists to investigate. The investigation determined that unauthorized access occurred between January 25, 2025, and February 8, 2025, during which certain files and folders were potentially viewed or acquired without authorization.

While there is no evidence of misuse, CBB concluded that sensitive personal information may have been involved. Out of caution, CBB is notifying affected individuals and offering complimentary credit monitoring and identity restoration services through Experian IdentityWorks.

Established in 2005 and headquartered in Los Angeles, California, Commonwealth Business Bank provides banking and financial services to businesses and individuals.

Following the breach, CBB implemented enhanced security measures and continues to monitor its systems.

If you received a Data Breach notification letter from CBB, it confirms that your information was potentially impacted.
